Dentist Furkan Özay
Oral Implantology and Dentistry
Dentist Furkan Özay focuses on dental implants and smile design. Born in Kayseri, he completed his secondary and high school education in Konya and graduated with honours from Konya Hekimoğlu Anadolu High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry, where his graduation thesis explored radiotherapy applied to the head and neck region. During this period he conducted research and observations on implant treatments and surgical procedures in patients who had previously undergone radiotherapy.
After completing his undergraduate degree, he began his PhD studies in the Department of Oral Implantology at Istanbul University, where he remains active. His doctoral research is a retrospective examination of dental implants placed following sinus lifting procedures. Throughout his PhD he has attended numerous national and international congresses. In 2023, at the International Team for Implantology – Turkey Section meeting, he shared a presentation on “Immediate Implants in the Anterior Region” with colleagues in a well-attended symposium.
His clinical focus includes implant procedures, immediate implants, immediate provisional restorations following implant placement, sutureless implant techniques, guided implant surgery, sinus lifting, bone grafting and augmentation with bone substitutes, botulinum toxin and masseter applications for bruxism management, smile design, all-on-four and all-on-six implant solutions, laminate veneers and E-max restorations.
He has been seeing patients clinically for many years in Nişantaşı, Istanbul. He also treats private patients in Dubai, holding professional recognition issued by the Dubai Health Authority.
He is married to orthodontist Ayşegül Ural Özay and is the father of their twin sons, Mert & Berk.
